Relined Fiber Network has acquired the German company Globalways from Datacenter One. The agreements to this effect were finalised at the beginning of November and the contract was signed by the parties involved. This takeover strengthens Relined’s position in the telecoms market and gives shape to its ambition to grow further in Germany.
Relined Fiber Network already spread its wings to Germany in 2017 by marketing a nationwide Dark Fiber network. With capacity in major cities, including Frankfurt’s metro network and to which over 20 data centres are connected. In order to even better meet the increasing demand for connectivity in the German market, Relined decided to acquire Globalways GmbH..
“We have great ambitions in both the Netherlands and Germany. We want to grow and continue to make steps towards achieving this. The increasing demand for connectivity in the German market was the reason for us to talk to Datacenter One, which led to the takeover of Globalways. Globalways’ knowledge will enable us to make even better use of our nationwide Dark Fiber backbone in Germany. We are delighted with the acquisition, which is a great starting point for further expansion on the German market” – Kristel Landa, Managing Director Relined Fiber Network.
Globalways, based in Stuttgart, has a network in the Stuttgart region of more than 400 kilometres and has been providing professional IT services, with maximum data security, to many companies for more than 15 years. Relined will acquire Globalways from the parent company Datacenter One, one of the leading data centre operators in the Stuttgart region. The organisation will be taken over in its entirety, including all services and staff.
